Patriotic service 1780 and 1783
Israel Snead, son of William Snead and Alice Boyd, was a Virginia colonist of Louisa County. He married Johanna Hendley. Their children, named in his will, are Keziah, Samuel, Ann, Henley, Martha, William, Frances, Solomon, John, and David.
Patriotic service is recorded in 1780 and 1783. He dies before 1788. The homestead passes, after Keziah’s care, toward his son David. Keziah is already a Watkins by marriage.
