Attainted and executed, 1497
James, 7th Baron, joined the Cornish rebellion of 1497 against Henry VII, was captured, attainted of treason and executed. The barony was forfeit.
Attainder is not the same as extinction. The dignity can be restored by the Crown or by Act. His son will wait fifteen years.
