Isle of Man granted 1405, hereditary 1406
After the Percy rebellion Henry IV granted Sir John the Isle of Man in 1405; in 1406 it was made hereditary for 1,300 marks. Controller of the Royal Household, Justiciar of Ireland, Justice of Chester, Constable of Windsor — the cadet has outrun the senior castle.
This is not the 1313 barony. It is the other prize of the Aldithley split: a kingdom in the Irish Sea.
