Summoned to the Lords, 1456
Thomas, son of Sir John of Mann, was summoned to the House of Lords in 1456 as 1st Baron Stanley. The cadet now has its own writ — a later, different dignity from the 1313 Audley barony.
Justice of Chester, Flint and North Wales; King's Chamberlain. Buried at Burscough Priory. His son will put a crown on a king's head.
